Reed Johnson is set to start his minor league rehab assignment Friday with Single-A Peoria, according to MLBblogs.com. He has been recovering from lower-back spasms.



Our View

Johnson could return to the Cubs Monday, barring a setback. He is a career .283 hitter with some pop in his bat, but his fantasy value is limited as a reserve outfielder.
