With the injury to Jason Schmidt, the Los Angeles Dodgers are turning to Chad Billingsley to fill the void.  Chad Billingsley is one of the Dodgers top pitching prospects and is finally getting the chance fantasy owners have been waiting for.  Billingsley is a power pitcher with a mid-90’s 2-seam fastball, a fantastic curveball, and a nasty slider.  He has dominant stuff and can easily develop into a fantasy ace with his high strikeout totals.  As with most power pitchers, Chad will need to refrain from walking batters and running up high pitch counts.  With Jason Schmidt scheduled to have shoulder surgery, it looks as if Mr. Billingsley can stick in the rotation as long as he can keep his head above water. 

 
With the long awaited arrival of Chad Billingsley, he instantly becomes a sexy pick.  Chad Billingsley is available as a free agent in most fantasy baseball leagues after not winning a rotation spot out of spring training.  Those that have no forgot about the top pitching prospect, will be heavily rewarded by picking up Billingsley.  Though there are sure to be growing pains along the way, being able to pick up a potential fantasy ace is too good to pass up.  So if he is still available in your league consider picking up Chad Billingsley immediately!
