This is currently my team (less the
players with (FA)). I feel like I really need pitching to make a run at
winning this year. Being a keeper dynasty league (5x5), what is
expendable here? What do see as my needs? How would you balance making
a championship run in 07 and be strong moving forward?
Thanks in advance for your advice and guidance!

Well
Chico, balancing the now and the future is the difficulty that arises
in long-term keeper and dynasty leagues. Although it's difficult to
put forth an honest assesment of your team without knowing how many
teams are in the league, the GNUru thinks you have done a fine job
drafting young players who will both produce now and in the future (The
GNUru would guess you are in a 16-team league based on the players on
your roster). To get a better idea of where your team is headed and
what can be done to improve your team, lets first identify who you will
build your team around.
Core Players
Miguel Cabrera
Prince Fielder
Delmon Young
Erik Bedard
Bobby Jenks
Manny Ramirez
Chone Figgins
As
you can see, your team is primarily composed of young players with a
ton of upside. In addition to these players you also have three
5-star prospects with Quentin, Gordan, Young. Not knowing the makeup
of the rest of the league its hard to evalueate your outlook for
success this season. However, the GNUru would guess your team is 2-3
years away from becoming a dominant force in your league. That said, I
believe you team can compete now as well. While your rotation is
certainly your weak point, you have some talented arms that will be
more than competitive. The GNUru's take home message is to be patient,
trust your ability to make mid-season adjustments, and let your young
talent blossom.
