  The Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of Clevelan Santeliz from Double-A Birmingham. He split this year between Birmingham and Winston-Salem, posting a 3-7 record and 4.80 ERA over 84 1-3 innings.

• Jon Link (P-CHW)

  The Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of RHP Jon Link from Double-A Birmingham. He led the Southern League in saves (35) this year. He also went 5-4 with a 3.02 ERA with 66 strikeouts over 56 2-3 innings. The ChiSox acquired him from the Padres on July 31, 2007.

• Brandon Allen (IF-CHW)

  The Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of INF Brandon Allen from Double-A Birmingham. He hit a combined .278 with 29 home runs and 75 RBI in 130 games with Class A Winston-Salem and Birmingham in 2008. He led the Sox Minor League system in runs scored (87), extra-base hits (67), and total bases (262).
