Granger was examined and released from Methodist Hospital after a CT scan on his head and neck taken Tuesday night came back negative. According to MLB.com, Orioles C Matt Wieters will see an increase in his workload for the final three weeks of spring training. "I'm ready for it," Wieters said. "I'm looking forward to catching some of these guys a little bit more and getting ready to go. Wieters hit a home run on Thursday and Wieters is beginning to get more comfortable. "It's just getting comfortable seeing pitches," Wieters said of his slow start. Hard-hitting safety Eric Smith has signed his one-year tender offer with the Jets. The deal keeps Smith in the competition with the recently signed Brodney Pool and James Ihedigbo to replace Kerry Rhodes opposite Jim Leonhard in the Jets' secondary. New Broncos QB Brady Quinn says his severely sprained left foot is no longer an issue. Quinn, who started nine games last year in Cleveland, finished the season on injured reserve after sustaining a severe Lisfranc sprain, a tear of the ligament that holds his first two toes in place, in his left foot. He spent two months in a walking boot. Lisfranc sprains can require surgery and threaten careers, but that's not the case with Quinn.
